Members of the LIFE LEACHLESS project team of the Fundación Cartif attended the conference “Soluciones para nuevos retos ambientales” (Solutions for new environmental challenges), organised by the Asociación Española de Abastecimientos de Agua y Saneamiento (AEAS) and hosted by the Consorcio de Aguas Bilbao Bizkaia (CABB).
The event was held on 30 and 31 May in Bilbao and aimed to explore how the most innovative water cycle organisations are facing the following challenges, in order to serve as a reference and inspiration for the whole sector.
The conference was divided into 3 main themes: Climate Challenge, Circular Economy and Energy. The event brought together the main actors of the water treatment sector in the country (large companies, managers, research organisations, local and regional bodies, policymakers, etc.).
The event was an important focus to disseminate the LIFE LEACHLESS project and to network with important stakeholders of the project, as well as to establish contacts to gather interest in the project and future collaborations.
