The LIFE LEACHLESS project was represented at the 7th International Conference on Sustainable Solid Waste Management, organised by NTUA and held from 26-29 June in Heraklion, on the Greek island of Crete.

The Conference aimed to address the important issue of sustainable solid waste management through the promotion of safe practices and effective technologies. The Conference focuses primarily on modern solid waste technologies. Its aim is to stimulate the interest of scientists and citizens and to inform them about the latest developments in the field of waste management.

LIFE LEACHLESS participated by making its Project idea, its objectives and the results achieved so far known to those attending the Conference.

During the course of the Conference, the members of the project took the opportunity to carry out networking activities with other LIFE and HORIZON 2020 projects. As for example the project LIFE ALGAECAN, LIFE YEAST, NUTRI2CYLE or NUTRIMAN, which were also present.
